Say a little prayer for you

Every morning we wake up praying that the day should go on well and at the end of the day we pray thanking for the day that just passed by and hoping that we live to see the beautiful tomorrow. Prayer keeps us in peace and helps us maintain a balance in life. We pray almost the whole day for little things we come across in our day to day life. when i hear an ambulance howling on a busy road, i pray that whoever is inside it should be fine. When i hear a fireengine roaring, i pray that whereever the fire has broken out,the people should be safe. We pray that we should'nt miss the bus, we pray before an interview, before an exam, we pray that india should win the match,we pray that sachin should take the catch, we pray that the share prices of infosys should go up, we pray that the budget should be fair enough. we pray that people who we love should not let us down, i pray that soon i should be able to get back home, we say little prayers when we walk alone on a deserted street. We pray for little silly things. we all pray dont we and thats the only way to communicate to god. That is something that keeps us connected to the almighty. In this cruel and matrialistic world where brutal and inhumanly activities are prevalent,we search for peaceand harmony. Thats exactly what prayer gives us. Prayer need not be in form of chanting the mantras or slogas. It can be in the form of meditation, yoga, pranayama. In our busy and stressul life we manage to say quicky little prayers before we step out of our home or get the glimpse of the god in a temple, church, mosque or gurudwara on our way to work.
When we dont pray, we fail to communicate with God. We fail to thank him for the wonderful things he has given us, we fail to seek courage from him when we are faced with a tough situation. We fail to instill peace and hope in us. Its the prayers that keeps us going and its the prayer that makes the world go around.

GURU of Indian Music

Jaage ai dher tak hame..
Kuch dher sone do...
Dhodi si raat aur hai..
Subah tho hone do...
adhe adhure khwab jo puree na ho sake..
ek baar phir se neend mein woh khwab bhone dho..

The above song is one of the finest masterpiece of the maestro A.R.Rehman. A song very well composed and sung exceptionally well by rehman himself. Rehman has a voice that awakens the inner soul. Dont know about others but two of his songs 'Vandemataram' from his album titled the same and 'yeh jo desh hai mera' from Swades has that something which has definitely tickled the patrotic bone in us. Another beautiful song composed and sung by Rehman along with Latha Mangeshkar is 'Luka chuppi' from Rang De basanti is a 'mamtha bhari' number. Rehman alsways does justice to the lyrics. Some of the songs have such beautiful lyrics which sometimes gets lost in the music but his composition makes the lyrics stand out so well. A song like 'yeh jo desh' is meant to be an jingoistic number and for a number like that the lyrics is very important and his music has definitely done justice. I also see a lot of Indian classical touch in his music.
Another song of Rehman which i love listening to is 'Newyork nagaram' from silunu oru kadhal'. the songs about how the husband had to travel to newyork on work and howmuch he misses his wife right from the time he wakes up in the morning and goes to bed in the nite. Lyrics is the life of the song and hence it has to stand out and thats exactly what Rehman has done. He has sung the song so soulfully that you can experience the feeling of the husband himself. I loved the way he has composed and sung the following lines...

pechellam thaalatu pola.. ennai uranga vaika nee illai..
dinamum oru muttham thanthu kaalai coffee koduka nee illai..
Vizhyil vizhum thoosi thannai.. eduka neeingu illai
manathil ezhum kuzhappam thannai theerka neeingu illaiii.
Naan inge neeyum ange..intha thanimai nimishangal varusham aanatheno
Vaan inge neelam ange intha uvamaiku iruvarum vizhakamanthu eno..

There will be atleast one new artist introduced by rehman in his movies and thats something worth applauding. He gives opportunites to the young upcoming singers who are talented and whose talent may not be recognised otherwise. not just that this morning i saw NDTV and was proud to see that Rehman has invited the physically challenged people to sing for his composition and has given them awards recognising their talent. I can go on and on about him for pages and list out the songs that he has given us which has not failed to sit well right under our lips. A song for every occassion, for every generation thats A.R.Rehman. There can never be another Rehman and he definitely is a proud possession of India. So go on Guru, play on coz the show has just begun aur yeh dil maange more...

Mama Mia here i go again....

Winter is over and spring is almost here. Spring is definitely a beautiful season but i miss winter for a lot of reasons. I like dressing up for winter. I miss that smoke that comes out of our mouth when we talk of even breathe. I miss it because i know summer is going to be here soon and i hate summers. How many of us do? we hate the heat, sweat, the tan. While we indians do all possible stuff to avoid the sun, here in london people eat their lunch under sun. They apply cream to get tanned and they have special tanning treatments here in the parlours. Talking about indians and brits i remembered the much talked and publicised Hurley-Arun wedding. I thought Arun Nayyar is a malayalee ('nayyar' sounds like 'nair' and i thought he has cngd the spelling due to some numerology reasons) and wondered why the hell is he marrying in punjabi style in Jodhpur. Then i came to know that its not the mallu 'nair' but punjabi 'nayyar'. Hurley-Arun's wedding rights is said to be sold to the hello magazine for $100 million dollars. Now that what i call 'a million dollar wedding' and they call it 'a big not so fat indian wedding' and not just that her wedding trousseau is supposed to be designed by Tarun tehlani and Rohit Bhal. Well with so much hype and hoopla , iam sure the bachan wedding is goin to be as grand and pompous as this one.

Talking about Bachans i heard that Shweta Nanda Bachan is hosting a show on NDTV where she will be interviewing young indian achievers and guess who the first one she is goin to interview the Krazy not so Kool 'Karan Johar' Applause applause. That takes us to one hyped tv show Koffee with Karan. The rule of the show is
# the first guest of the show has to be shah rukh, kajol and rani.
#he has every right to ask any god damn question to his guests and his guests never get offended in his show which they would generally if otherwise.
#The hamper he gives away is equivalent to oscar award (damn the oscar i can give my life to win the hamper)
#His rapid fire questions can be as ridiculous as hell, and every question has to have somethng about his movie KANK,SRK,Kajol and Rani. If you havent noticed it then start doing it right away.
I hope he doesn come up with season 3 where he will probably get SRK's son and Kajol's daugter talk abt their parents.By then iam sure ash-abhi ke bhi baache ho jaayenge aur hopefully karan ki shaadi ho jayegi..Kafi hai karan...please....

last weekend i punished myself and my husband by watching 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd'. Never seen a movie as bizarre and rot like this one. While salaam-e-ishq tries to wove the 6 couples stories together i dont understand what this is trying to do. One of the actress (name not used intentionally) who always failed to give one hit movie (well almost all the heroines in the movie have only given flops so u actualy wont identify which one iam talking about). she says that this movie is very original and has a lot of sensibility in it. Ya right one couple turns out to be super hero-super lady while two heros are gays. Now is that what u meant by sensibility. If that is sense of humor then for gods sake you all need a class on humor. Honeymoon travles makes no sense to me and its the worst movie of the year.

I throughly enjoy watching SRK host KBC. His humor and class has taken KBC to a different dimension all together. big B was good no doubt but SRK's KBC has a new color, youthness attached to it. Its really funny when he says 'aap mujse haath milake,ya mujse ghale lagake ya mera ghala dhabhake jaa sakthe hai.' SRK you truly rock KBC.

This years Budget has been another disappointment and hopefully world cup doesn turn out to be one either.

Thats all from me here and i will be back with more reviews and more news from this part of the worldand from our very own hindustan. Until then jai Hind...

The G Factor

' you look so much like your dad' 'you look just like your mom'. many of us have faced this statement whenever our long lost relative bumps on to us one fine day after almost a decade. Every little thing you do is being compared to your parents. 'you know when your dad was young he was as naughty and stubborn like you' ya right... Thanks to the genes. It seems there are some 24000 genes in nearly everyone of our cells. Iam not here to talk about the scientific meaning of gene or about the human genome project. Iam amazed and awed by the four letter science word. Its not just the looks but the behavioural pattern also is guided by the gene it seems. Things like being an alcoholic, robbery, sometimes your voice can also be so much like somone in your family. On movies when they show that the dad and the son are the double role of the same hero i used to think what crap like they both can look the same. but you know what they can look so much like each other. I cant quote a better example than the Bachans. Look at abhishek he looks and behaves so much like his dad. look at Hrithik and you can easily say he is Rakesh Roshan's son.
My brother has striking resemblance to his 2 uncles(mum's brothers) and his cousin brother (mum's sister's son). They all look so much like each other and their actions and behaviour matches with each other so much. Last week i went to my husband's cousin's house and i was awed to see her son who looks exactly like his mum's brother. Similarly one more cousin of my husband looks exactly like his mum's brother. More and more guys are identical to their materal uncle. Now that amazes me. is'nt that power of gene incredibly. If you look like your mum or dad its kinda beleivable but uncle and grandma's looks..wow...
I dont know why i wrote this blog but i was completely awed by this factor of science and iam sure you all would have noticed it or atleast start noticing it from now on and will understand the G factor..

Definitely not a home away from home

The saying, Grass is greener on the other end and Value of something is not felt until you miss it, holds good to me. I always used to wonder how would it be to live in a country outside india. Many of my friends got married and moved to US,UAE,UK and so on. The enthusiasm of getting married i guess is doubled for them because they are going to another country. I have seen them shop for clothes that are to be worn in the US coz these indian outfits are unfit to be worn there. I never found all these weird and i wanted to be part of this joy of being married to an NRI. Hence i used to mention this criteria when i was doin a prospective groom search on matrimonial portal and was flabbergasted to look at the flamboyant men posing in front of tower bridge london or the eiffel tower or right next to a porsche. I would think that the life out there must be thrilling and exciting. It used to give me kicks when i used to think that when i vist India, i would tell people that iam settled in Newyork with that NY look all over me and that tinge of the accent on my tongue. A whole lot of american perfumes, cosmetics, sporting that trendy haircut with highlighted hair. When i met my husband for the first time he told me that he is based in Bangalore but travels outside India often. Bingo!! can't ask for more. After our wedding we didnt really travel at all. We were in Bangalore for almost 5 months and one fine day my husband had to travel to Uk for official purpose and i saw my long seen dream come alive. When i quit my work as we had to move out, my colleagues and my customers would ask me why and i would say "we are moving to london" with that twinkle in my eyes and glee in my voice.
We are in london since december and i have never missed India more like i do now. Before coming to UK, i used to ask my husband how the life was in these countries and he used to say nothing like india and i was like "how boring". But he was right, nothing like India. When i see indians in London i get elated. I hear someone speak in tamil or hindi iam moved. Back in india when i go to temple i just pray and come back but here in london when i go to a Hindu temple i find my religious appetite hit an all time high. The other day when i went to the swami Narayan Temple in Naesden i felt so proud to see such a huge beautiful hindu temple in london. we clicked a lot of fotos in front of the holy shrine. I was spellbound to see the beautiful workmanship inside the temple and the way the idol has been dressed up (trust me i have seen much more such beautiful temples in India but never felt this way). There was this exhibition on hinduism which i must say was an enlightenment. While the other brits were goin through the work and readings about hinduism i walk with my heads up proud like "hey iam an Indian born in the land which introduced zero, geometry, surgery, where the indus valley civilisation gave way to Hinduism and Vedas"..Oh what a feeling it was.
I do agree that the kind of life and comforts we get here cannot be found in India but trust me i miss my country and iam counting days to get back home and so is many indians settled here and many in the US. staying away from your family is not worth a penny you earn in this part of the world and trust me people here must be earning more but the family bond that we have there back in india is missing here. Indians who have been living here for a very long time become like the britts in due course and start speaking like them. Start celebrating christmas, eat pudding, honey ham and turkey on xmas. highlight their hairs, spike them up. Kids start growing up like a brit kid and they dont know a word of their mothertongue.
For me all the excitement died the moment i started missing home, the dhoodhwala's ring in the morning, the sabjiwala's shout, chatting with my maid, hearing kids scream inside the compound in the evenings, Window talk with my neighbour, my walk to the nearest kiraiwala, listening to radio mirchi, waking up to the birds chirp, waiting for the weekend to come to grab a movie,go to the nearest chat corner to eat ghol gappa. I know that day will come and when it does it will last forever...

Awesome threesome

She can fill my heart with tears
She can make me get rid of my fears
She will console me when iam down
She will smile even if i frown
She peps me up, she guides me through
An angel,an inspiration,my best friend,my mother.

He has his principles and his own rules
He has his way of living life to the full
He tells whats right for me and whats not
If i dont listen to him then he gets really red hot
Hard working he is,he works for his family
A great philosopher, a teacher, my guide,my dad.

Cool and composed, freaky and funny
He knows what he wants and thats him honey
A passion for music,a gadgeteer, an animator
Popular among friends, a great adventurer
My idyllic, enthusiatic, lovable brother.

Unspoken feelings expressed in words

A beautiful feeling within my soul
An expression left untold
If not for you life would be a desert
Isolated and parched, desolated and dead
Waking up beside you,it all seems like a dream
Crazy little things you do make me want to scream
Your intense love overrides your annoying habits
The care you show makes me want you more
If there ever is a day when i dont wake up beside you
I'd rather sleep forever and never wakeup to a life without you...

When words can tear us apart

Loving words can heal a heart
Spiteful words can tear you apart
A small dispute can injure friendship
I was being misunderstood
War of words knows no end
Where it begun and where did all end
When new relationship forms Why does the old ones strain
Or maybe i should just learn to refrain
Laughing all our lives, having so much fun
Why do we have to blow it all up in the end
Little time that we have in this wild world
A few things said and a few undone
Lets talk it out dear friend
Why part ways with heart feelings
Why jeopardize when we can clarify things...

All about my Husband

Killer voice, as sweet as honey
Warm hearted,as precious as money
The guy next door, a friend for sure
Chocolate looks,dont let it lure
Smart worker,a quick thinker
Wild and wise,naughty and nice
Sneezes often and calls it his style
Sleazy talks that runs for a mile
Speaks tooti-phooti tamil
Smiles for a photo ah thats a miracle
Curious about various things
Asks a lot of basic questions
Books are his first wife
Without them he cant live a life
When the pressure mounts
Nothing else counts
Sleeps wherever he gets to
Eats whtevr he can get his hands onto
Simple,suave and sensible
Thats My hubby, sweet and lovable

A New Beginning

Laid back and lonely that was me till yesterday
Waking up to another day, working all the way
Stress and pressure taking its toll, life kept dragging me down
Torn between the hustle and hurry world, all i did was only frown
Life was an uphill climbing , walking in search of destiny
I needed a shoulder to cry on, needed someone to call my own
Amidst the madding crowd i saw a familiar face
Waving up to me he smiled like he found a lost friend
Offered his hand to hold, asked me to walk along
Walking along the road of bliss, lifes no more an uphill climb
There is loneliness no more, life is smililng back on me
i've finally found the man of my life..
Or should i say i found my life itself....

BLITZKRIEG OF EMOTIONS

I hear voices calling out to me...
Voices asking me to break free..
I hear them say "you are lonely no more"
With whispers breaking the silence within
Happiness smiling back into my life
Winds of change blowing my way
Horizons seems within my reach
I feel freshness gushing onto my soul
Old memories fading away..
Giving way to new ones to gather..
Musing over the days to come
Excitement makes me comfortably numb
Eternal blissfulness over powers idiosyncratic emotions
Will this feeling last or will it surpass?
Will it be a long lasting wait?
Will it all be over fast?

Angel Asks you...Be honest

Just came across this blog ok. This guy has some fundoo questions to ask. He calls it tags. I wanted to answer them first. Then i'll putforth my own questions for you to ponder on...
Here we go....
1) What kind of car/ bike person are you? This includes bicycles
Not a bike person. I mean the macho ones. The one i ride is an activa. Enjoi riding it though. Car definitely SUVs. Love Black ones especially. Like the rugged sexy seductive look. Cycle well love cycling...used to cycle to school.

2) You opinion : Why are all men turned on by women that dig other women, when the man in question is not even in the picture?
I don know. I totally get turned off by such men. Till y'day i loved Brad Pitt but after i heard him being linked to les chik Angelina Jolie eeeekkkkkkssssss....Have a grt life ahead Mr. Pitt

3) You've been in a relationship for 2 years, and you realise you're not in love. What do you do? Be honest, or find some way to pin the blame on your soon to be ex.
Be honest. Tell him i don love him. Better to be honest coz even if iam goin to lie he'll come to know so save my ass right away by being honest.

4) Which is your favourite pair of shoes. Why?
The reebok i wear to my gym. Cos i get all the moves right..

5) What is the best way to bring up a conversation with your significant other about a threesome?
Well i don have a significant other as yet...and in case i do well its my kinda topic to discuss about.

6) Did you ever run away from home?
Never...Don plan to either...tooo comfortable and lazy to run away...

Ok so these were the questions. try and answer these first Now the tough part. I hate asking questions i love answering them...Anyways iam goin to throw some questions that definitely are'nt sensible (well being insensible is not my type of a thing though)..So be honest...

When the going gets tough...

Bad job

Horrifying boss

Huge mobile bills

Frightening credit card statements

Nagging girl friend/boy friend

Financial crunch

And the list goes on.Life can really be tough right. You bet. MOst of us would be facing atleast one of the above problems. Trust me it is a never ending process. You will face it everyday, every month and it takes a toll on you. It gets to your nerve so badly that you want to give up. But is that the solution. Last week i heard a shocking news and i was zapped. Our computer guy ( the one who assembled our PC and fixes all our comp problems) committed suicide on the railway track. He was one cool, easy going, young and very good looking guy. But none of us can really think of a reason why he did so. Come on guys life is so precious we cant end it this way.

Bad days dont last. God is testing your endurance. When u surpass it he gives you the best. In hindi there is a saying "bhagwan jab detha hai, chappar pad ke detha hai".

Why iam i saying all this. Well lately i have been going thru a rough patch in my life too. Bad job is my reason. But i know there is no point cribbing. Cos i know that something very nice and exciting is going to happen in my life. I smell it already. Woman's instincts.

So all the people in the world every man and woman, take a deep breath and say it loud " I'll pass this one too" and "keep walking"....Cos when the going gets tough the tough get going....and remember Ronan Keatings' song...

Life is a roller coaster you gotta ride it
Life is a mystery so lets get inside it..

INDIAN WEDDINGS....

Well well well...what do we have here. Do i hear the wedding bells ringing..Well actually i happend to go to a wedding this morning. Its a close family friends' daughters wedding. So i thought i'll shed some light on the stuff that happens other than the wedding itself.
When you think of wedding, what rings a bell inside. Food ( when there is a wedding in the family we dont count calories do we???),getting together of family members (your cousins from US,UK etc will be there giving there big time fundoos abt their LIFE in the respective countries),Music, dance, masti (till y'day only punjabi weddings has all this dance masti but trust me these days the south indian weddings equally rock esp these mamas and mamis).
Apart from all this there are a lot of behind the scene stuff that keeps happening in weddings. Let me tell you what they are. The parents of the most prospective brides will keep their eyes wide open to hook NRIs,IIMs,IITs.S/W prof for their modern yet traditional daughters. Once they set their eyes they either ask their relatives who they are and other family details or some of these parents directly approach the parents. Now the same theory applies to the prospective Bride grooms too. So you can see some really well dressed and well mannered pretty girls and equally good looking and well dressed guys exihibiting themselves. These days you need to market yourselves to get married ha...in weddings its brand repositioning and display of your competitive advantage say for example "my daughter sings so well, she has won a lot of prizes" or "my daughter cooks southindian, northindian, italian, mexican, chinese etc etc..very well" (ah the best way to reach a man's heart is indeed through the stomach, but you would'nt want him to be a glutton do u??). Then we have the guy's parents (the marketing president-dad and VP mom) saying "my son doesnt drink or smoke,he has a car,his own house,he can even cook (ah now thts a very interesting selling point, iam sure the girls will love that). Once the buyers are convinced then there is the horoscope exchange that happens. So one wedding sows seeds that reap into another one.
Then there are these old people who would've seen you about a decade back and will be astonished to see you grow into a big man or lady. They will be like"god the last time i saw you, you were this much ah time really flies ha,so you are the next one in the queue" (ah they really can get into your nerve ha). Then above all that they make a sarcastic statement "so will you make your parents work easy by bringing you choice of life partner or will it be arranged??" (this is it you cant take it anymore,so u just smile and pretend like you've got a call and run and hide)...
So the next time you go to a wedding beware coz you are under surveillance. One more warning try to keep yourself away from these oldies cos they really can make the hell freeze over your head.

Letter to GOD

Hey BIG man howey doing??? well u knw how iam doin so i don have to tell you. Seems like you hav this hi-fi remote control to fast forward the time. Take it slow god we seem to have no time to breathe at all. I mean monday just started and in no time it will be weekend.
Talking about remote control and hi-fi gadgets i must say that you have made life quiet simple for us. You have given this incredible brain to our fellow human beings that works 24/7,thinking of making everything from taking a crap in the loo to getting in touch with loved and not so loved ones far far away. But the proble is the brain that things of inventions thinks of distruction too. I mean the same brain that make a micro processor chip makes atom bombs too. So god i request you to process the brain and re-engineer it in such a way that it can only invent good things and whn it thinks of bad stuff let the brain juss crash.
It will not be fair on my part if i dont tell you about the most important "stuff" you have given to us. Money. The paper like thing can do wonders ha. I mean today for everything u need this stuff. To get rid of your own hair on your head you need to pay. And hey added to that we need to pay something called a service tax which is now hiked to 12% as u must be knowing it. God iam telling you,you better be careful coz all those who serve you na they may start charging service tax. See your intentions were very genuine when you made money you basically wanted man to be content and happy until now. Now he kills, robs, rapes, swindles to get hold of those bunch of papers. I understand that ourYamraj has his own pressure from you to reach targets but god murder is brutal and so is rape. Come on you made Eve cos adam was alone. You made her to give emotional support to adam. But how can a man even dare to rape a woman. Accidents, diseases are ok you know i mean acceptable but not murder and rape. Infact i wont vouch even for suicide. So you make sure you take all these are removed completely frm ur list.
Now i wish to tell you about the feeling that you have given to us called LOVE. Over here i have a question. Why should heart be the only organ that should generate love. I mean see people say that he or she is heartbroken so she cant fall in love or think of marriage for the time being..Comeon you can give a spare part which can generate love as a substitute to heart. So we wont see this incredible invention of your TEARS anymore.
Another thing i wish to add here is give us (i mean women here) one incredible power of reading whts on a man's mind. I mean we need to know it. And incase u want to give the same power to men too you can go ahead we wont stop you.
God we all are sick and tired of certain routines ok. I mean we are tired of the roundness of the earth come on cut some monotony here. Give it an exciting shape say how about oblong. Make men pregnant na. I mean both can have the power. The first kid can be from woman's womb and the second from men.
All the while you must be wondering that this woman has only been complaining and you may feel that its time you go for six sigma concept of zero% error. Chill god you have made some wonderful things too but you know na loop holes are always there. I mean i should appreciate you for making Sleep,Its such a wonderful thing u've given us. Don be partial god give this beautiful thing to all of them remove insomnia from ur list. Others which i wish to mention here is Happiness,smile,children,Food,water,snow,rain,birds,fruits,trees,vegetables,mountains,ocean,river...i mean i can go on with the list they are all your wonderful creation and u bet u r the monopolist in that.
Finally i wish to thank you for giving me this life and wish to say it real loud that GOD YOU ARE THE BEST AND THERE IS NO ONE ELSE LIKE YOU AND THERE NEVER WILL BE. THANKS FOR BEING THERE WHEN WE NEED YOU THE MOST.

PS: One final request (sorry i knw women are insatiable).. When you close one door you open another one we all know it but God can u please open the other door a bit quick coz there is this huge queue here you can definitely cut it short by opening quicker na.

MIXED BLESSINGS...hmmmm how mixed are yours???

Have you ever wondered that a series of incidents that happens in our life has some significance. Ok let me get it clear. What iam trying to say is have you ever thought that a person you meet casually may end up making a big change in life. Similarly you missing a flight, not attending a particular interview may just turn out to be a life saver. Why does such a thing happen. Does the almighty play such games having something on his mind.

For me if you see from the time i was born everything has been going in a delayed fashion. When my mom was admitted in the hospital, the birth star that was prevalant was "hastham" ofcourse it was almost over then it was "chitrai" and it seems in tamil there is a saying "chitrai appan theruvil" which means if the daughter of the house is born under the birth star "chitrai" it seems the head of the family will lose all the money and his job and their family will face heavy financial crunch till the daughter gets married and leave the family. After wedding it seems the woman with this star will bring prosperity to her in laws place and also it seems her parents' house will revive back. So my mum was very jittery that her daughter should not be born under the star chitrai. After Chitrai follows Swathi which is very good for woman, she it seems will bring prosperity whereever she goes. So my mum started reading this book called "sundara Gandam" and prayed for days and nights and guess what "chitrai" just passed and "swathi" just popped its head and i was born. My mom was so releived that since then for whatever prayers she has she reads this"sundaragandam" (wonder whats on it).

After this was the time i had to join my college, after a lot of confusion i joined B.Com in one of the best colleges in town one week after the college started. See the delay there. Then my turn to get a job. I was jobless for almost 5 months then i took up a job out of home. Was not happy with what i was doing then from there tried another job and got it 6 months after i quit my first job. Delay again. Now i work very close from home. Read my lips close as in a stone throw distance from home. What else can you ask for. And now the time has come for me to get married. And "so far no good". So many men but none "the one". I mean again the delay. My parents keep saying that there is always delay in life and when it happens the best one happens. So guess the best man is on his way and the best part is yet to happen.

My very close friend is undergoing a similar phase in life. He has got an offer from a very famous IT company in a very high position but somehow his date of joining has been delaying for almost 3 months now. Well its like you have the cake but cant eat it. How sad is that. Meanwhile he got an offer from a huge indian conglomerate with a rocking pay package. and he is in his final stages of making it there and this has always been his dream work. Now if he woul've joined the MNC he wouldnt have been able to make this happen right. Now see its like you went in search of a chocolate and ennded up finding a chocolate factory.Hmmm is'nt that great. This exactly is what is "Serendipity".

So guys if there is delay in anything in your life do not fret its coz the big man up there has something much more big and exciting for you. So live life like you've never lived before. Celebrate cos life is a celebration. Spend time with your loved ones. Tell them today how much you love them.

When love and hate collide

Since last evening my head is filled with thoughts. Questions which has no answers. In life i have learnt that having expectations is not worth a penny. When it doesn happen it hurts. Its not necessary that whatever you like with all your heart will happen. Generally what you least expect only happens. Ok i know i don make any sense here.Chuck it.
Ever heard of something like paying for all previous births' bad deeds. They say its KARMA. I find it quiet weird ok. I would've been a mean lady or bad man in my previous birth. But in this birth iam a sweet person (well everyone says so) then why should i pay now for wht i did in my last birth. Was telling my mom the other day that one must pay for what one does immediatly thats fair enough. She said its no more like that this is "Kalikalam" in which you pay the price immediatly. Thats better.

I knw 2 sisters who is in their 30s still unmarried . Now the reason why they didnt get married is because their ancestors have done something bad in their times for which their family is paying the price. How mean is that. But god is kind enough. All we have to do is do some prayashchit and the paap gets cleansed. So it means we are getting a chance to mend our past deeds and that of our ancestors. My parents go to temple everyday. I used to wonder why? i mean visitng god once in a while is fair enough why go daily. Infact i used to laugh it off saying that God will run away looking at you come daily and ask for something. But the fact is Faith in God is very important. He is the ultimate. My mom always says that if you truly need something pray with all your heart and god will definitely answer your prayers. Its a matter of time. It seems goddess parvathi did a lot of fasting, performed a lot of pooja inorder to marry lord Shiva. When goddess herself had to put maska to God then hum kis keth ke muli hai.
IF you are wondering what significance does my topic have with content, the answer is nothing. Its my favourite song by deff leppard.

HOW GENTLE ARE MEN

Have you ever thought why men are referred to as GENTLEMEN and women are just ladies. Well try to ponder over it and i bet you will not be able to find the answer cos ladies its definitely not directly proportional to their characteristic feature. If women are uncomprehendable then men are incorregible and unsatiable. Lets take instances on how men react to certain situations.

Men crib that everytime they take their woman out they end up paying. Now tell me something did we ever ask you to pay, as in verbally tell you "darling can you settle the bill". Simple, your ego hurts if you let the woman pay.So stop cribbing ok.

When a girl is friendly with you,you take her for granted. you assume that whatever you say she'll agree. The first instance you ask her out. Let me tell you women these days are a tough cookie to break so beware.

If she asks you to do your work properly, you call it nagging. If she is telling you her problems, you say she is complaining. If she is asking you to be more sensitve and emotional you say she is being manipulative. If she is asking you not to stay late at work or not to drink too much then you say she is not giving me enough space. Her caring and loving nature becomes a pain in the ass for you.

What really surprises me is when women are just the same before and after marriage how is it that men completely change. For the change you blame the women. Remember its always women who are on the receiving end,who are blamed for everything. Even when your child does something annoying you blame the mother for bringing up the child that way.

All men out there just sit back and think, god has not made you mean. Circumstances make you that way. Put yourself in your woman's shoes and live her life for a day and you'll understand what it is to be her. When we call you Gentlemen try and be like one.

Actually i wish to end this blog with a song you know na thats my style but there are no songs on men can you beat that. There is so much to sing about women and nothing about men.How bad is that...:-)

Have you ever really loved a women????

How many men would have wished for the power that Mel Gibson possessed in the movie "What women Want". Most of the men crib that they just don understand what women are thinking, what they want, how will they react to a situation. She wants you to be more sensitive and once you become one then she says you've changed. She wants you to be honest about everything and when you utter the truth she says your hurting her feelings. Ok so women are complicated species.Agreed. Sit right back you guys.take a chill pill. I can help you guys with something here.

This is what she looks for in her man....

  • To top the list SENSE OF HUMOUR. Trust me even an ugly man with a rocking sense of humour can sweep her off her feet. Make her laugh like crazy and she is all yours.
  • Honesty,Integrity,Loyalty. If you are double crossing with her then you are a dead man. If you are drunk just tell her that you are. If you are coming home late tell her why you got late.
  • The M-word. Believe it or not its very important. Ok i know reality sucks. But darlings welcome to the real world. You can have the looks of Brad pitt but if you a salary thats a pittance then you are a loser. Most women look for a financially supportive guy. You need not have a huge bank balance but atleast something to satisfy her needs. (ok iam talking about the needy women and not the greedy ones here)
  • Sex. Iam i being very blatant here. Well the truth is she wants it. A good sex and pleasure can make her all yours.
  • Sensitive and very supportive. Ask her why she is upset. once in a while offer to listen to her problems, about her work. Tell her I Love You atleast once in a day. Give her that hug when you leave for work and when you come back.
  • Offer to help her in her routine chores. Most of the women these days go for work. So remember she has to do her routine chores at home and then rush to work. But you men only have to take care of your work at office. Atleast make sure you do your things properly. Like for instance going for shower without a towel and then shouting from inside, put your damn shoes or files somewhere and tell her that she has put it somewhere.
  • Take her on a holiday once in a year. You both need break from work dont you.
  • Be a good listener. when she is saying something do not read a newspaper or watch TV. Put it all aside, ask her to sit next to you and just listen.
  • Make her feel important, tell her that she is most beautiful and wonderful women in the whole world.
  • Do not forget the most important dates. Her birthday.your wedding anniversary, her parents birthday. Keep the reminders on your damn phone man...It helps.

Ok now you all men there try and incorporate these first. See the difference. Trust me she will do anything for her man. get me right ANYTHING...Will leave you all with Bryan Adams' lovely song....

When you love a woman tell her that she's really wanted

when you love a woman tell her that shes the one

She needs somebody to tell her that you'll always be together

So tell me have you ever really.really really ever loved a woman
